Sinister A 02:27
Sinister A picked up a little lamb And took it home with him And for a moment it was beautiful And his head was soft and warm But somehow then, without a warning The lamb started to invert His head was screaming and his body ached And as the lamb shook it put its insides out He stood in horror looked at what he’d done Wanted to stop this, wondered what he’d done Wished he could turn him back Put the lamb back to the place he stole him from Sinister A picked up a little lamb And took it home with him And now the stories fill up the empty schools Across the meadows you can hear it still Sinister A, look at what you’ve done!

I’m feeling kind of sorry when you’re gone I’m feeling kind of lonely when you’re gone But it really doesn’t matter in your eyes I’m feeling sick and tired when you’re gone I feel this pretty sickness when you’re gone But it really doesn’t matter in your eyes Does it make you kind of cool to behave this way? Does it make you kind of cool to leave me this way? But it really doesn’t matter in your eyes
3.
Coat Of Arms 02:38
Susie lay awake on a warm October night Dreaming of castles and princes at the bottom of her garden Walking with him in the woods and the moonlight with her hands out Wrapped around and holding onto your coat of arms And every step is closer to you now Your main mistake is letting things get to you Better hold that’s steady course to America Until the sun, until the sun goes You’re not gonna leave me she said, I think that I might die And oh no, he said, at the bottom of the lake we’ll rot and rest forever Holding onto your coat of arms Your dream has an ending Your dream isn’t ending And you can wake up And you can’t wake up
4.
Doctor, doctor, I’m at your mercy Please let your purgatory set free your missionaries I’m not your friend, you’re not my enemy A silent afternoon remains so involuntary Yes it’s been a long time since you came here Let’s take out your records, have a look here And your mother’s side was filled with plagues I see And your father’s side will make you stronger than me Doctor, doctor, a friend of the medicine A friend of the dark A friend of the mercenaries
5.
You’re my best believer Yes you are, yes you are He looks like a boy and he looks like a girl So there’s nothing wrong here She looks like a girl and she looks like a boy So there’s nothing wrong here You come here at the weekends Yes you do, yes you do He looks like a boy and he looks like a girl So there’s nothing wrong here He looks like a girl and she looks like a boy So there’s nothing wrong here She looks like a girl and she looks like a boy So there’s nothing wrong here And he looks like a boy and he looks like a girl So there’s nothing wrong here It is some kind of thinking that makes you come back here, come back and stay Your pre-conceived thoughts bring the death of your monsters So come back here, come back and stay Your eyes are like mine, my teeth are like yours So come back You’re my best believer
6.
I’ll walk around in circles ‘till we’re both almost there I’ll hold onto everything so tightly from your feet up to your hair Waking up while you’re still dreaming When the silence wakes the dead Smoke another matchstick by the window In the dark the flames will spread I’ll walk around in circles ‘till we’re both so nearly there Everything around is golden, those mistakes fall down the stairs I’ll let it take you all around and turn your face to frowns You’re sleeping now you’ll let it all come down and down and down
7.
You say when you came All you want to do is It’s a battle of the sexes and there’s nothing you can do about it You say when you left All you want to do is It’s a battle of the sexes and there’s nothing you can do about it
8.
I still remember the day in monster-raving alley We were telling lies, and now you’re on your own I still remember the day in yoh-ga-cola café We were telling lies, and now you drink alone Bits of my heart between your teeth I can’t remember the day in sophisticated prison We were telling lies, and wasting out our lives As the bars passed through the walls That’s what you do to me Just why do you do it to me
9.
The jury was out on a Friday I wish it didn’t have to be this way And now you’re locked inside your cage with me So god help you And I begin to see what the others thought of you My god, you’re not the girl that I loved And every thought of mine is aching just every part of me So god help you ‘Cause in my car I am just falling up a tree And I’m just a cat inside an old refinery And your long hair it is so elegant and old You’re too slow So why don’t you come back here
10.
You are straight to straight you aren’t ever going under On the way to slumber you are ever growing stronger As the walls and floor start to move and start to hunger As the air around is like the calm before the thunder I begin to think I am starting to descend And as the sandman calls I believe my life will end And as stillness rocks like an infant in a life-raft And the silence rings bringing doors and bringing pleas I ask you Clocks and catches bring the meaning into slumber And the racks and hatches bring the meat into the parlour The mice and rats will bring the illness and the hunger The men and dogs will bring the killing and the gun I ask you Sister, sister save me till the morning Sister, sister save me till the clock strikes I can see you moving in the headlights Don’t you let go
11.
I will conceal that I am to blame My memory’s colder now My heart remains the same And here you are waiting In the cold and darkness This fire is burning And out here Here on the plain I’ll stay with you here Here on the plain ‘Cause my heart is open This fire is burning And if there is god, the devil and hell Surrender me And if there is light and dark Surrender me
